Tragic landslide in Kegalle🥺

Disaster problems have arisen due to the adverse weather conditions that have affected the island.The lives of people have been severely affected by floods, landslides, lightning strikes and road blockages.The Meteorological Department, Building Research Institute and the Disaster Management Center are engaged in public awareness campaigns from time to time.The Meteorological Department has issued notices to the affected areas through the relevant District and Divisional Secretaries. Landslides have occurred in the last few days and many lives have been lost.The common denominator in those cases was the lack of accurate information flow among the people. Educating people and evacuating them to IDP camps seems to be a problem.Their relatives say that they have not been informed about the landslide that occurred in the Kegalle - Rambukkana - Dombemada area.However, the Kegalle District Office of the Disaster Management Center stated that the residents who died in the landslide had been instructed to evacuate the area the  day.

 unfortunate that a house in the Rambukkana area in Kegalle was completely destroyed due to a landslid⛰️e.We were all shocked to see it.The mother, father, daughter and another cousin were in the house at the time of the incident🥺.The mother, daughter and cousin died due to the landslide.🙏🌼The father survived the accident but his leg was broken.🥺

Preparation and training, awareness,Landslides can be prevented by building temporary detention centers.

        That landslide was a tragedy for everyone.Whose fault it may have been ..It is everyone's duty to make sure that this does not happen again, rather than finding fault with anyone.🥺
